Due to the war in the East of Ukrainea lot of people have fled the region. When being gay, lesbian or transgender this journey can be very dangerous and you are not welcome in the shelters around Kyiv. There is only one place where they can go: the Insight Shelter. This organization rented a small apartment in the outskirts of Kyiv where six adults and one child now live together. They can stay for the maximum of 3 months and are helped with finding a job and a new place to live. Some of them can only be themselves inside the house. Their sexual orientation is not accepted in the outside world.
